Book – How to Manage Your Own Career

General Gelhardt has been continuelly asked how did you get to the White House?  How did you get to be the Chief Information Officer for the President?  Mark is working on his second book “How to Manage Your Own Destiny/Career.”  This book will talk about how I became to stand next to the President doing what I love.  It talks about the ten steps I use ever day to manage my self, my density, my career.

If I can make it to The White House so can you!  It takes hard work, a vision, and some luck.  This book will lay out 10 steps that I used and show how those steps help me to get to the top of my career and was able to advance to the rank of Colonel and stand next to the President of the United States.

This is a story about hard work, some luck, meeting the right people, being in the right place at the right time, opening your own doors, and being ready to walk through those doors once they are open.  Have a plan, educate yourself, take care of yourself (and your family), do not bend your moral compass to meet what others tell you but set your own path and you can make it to success.

Success for everyone is different – success for me was to be there for my family, have enough money to pay the bills, and if possible have a worth while career.
